It has been my experience that the most prejudiced people are the ones creating all the conflicts and gossip in the world.
They are unconfortable of who they are so they seek people in levels of authority to back them up. Since many folks in level of authority are biggots and idiots they tend to validate and give life to the racism.
I am just done dealing these imbeciles and they could go to hell for all I care.
What do you think?

That's the story of my life. Be done with them. However... what do you mean? If it's at work, are you quitting? If so, I strongly recommend to "be done" in a self loving manner. Make decision at your convenience and move on to something better.

@andy: If you end up feeling like you must quit, leave in good terms so it won't jeopardize any future employment. If you're not quitting then just keep the peace as much as you can but without taking any shit. I really hope this all resolves itself so you can have peace of mind for a change...you don't deserve this. I'm also wondering what is it specifically that's getting to you at work. You didn't elaborate on that but you can message me if you want to let it all out more. I hope you do so it doesn't boil up inside of you until you blow a gasket over the assholes. You know where to find me.

Well, being done is just re

requesting a transfer. I am pretty popular and many VPs would like having me on their teams. The delicate part is coming out to them, not that I will now. Today was a good day.

It seems to me that one of the only ways of combating prejudice is to stare it in the face and don't back down. I didn't have to deal with losing my job or compromising my way of life when I came out, but it is still the best decision I ever made. It forced the bigots and ignorant people around me to put a real face on this situation. I continued to be a living breathing force in the midst of them and it was harder for them to remain in their comfortable bigotry when they recognized that I could be gay and one of them at the same time. I don't know your situation and respect your decisions about coming out but give it a thought. The more people who stay in the closet the more the haters will try to keep it shut and locked.
