It is interesting how Society moves from bullying one group to another. There seems to be a need to be discrimintaing somebody at all times. Only minorities are targeted becuase of their sizes and the limited power they have. When the power of a minority grows, the hate is redirected to a msaller group and the previously bullied group is left alone for the time being.
We must be warriors and defend our rights and place in society at all times and leave no doubt that we will fight and conquer. No one can limit us. We only limit ourselves for letting others rule us.
Never feel bad becuase someone may think you are gay and do something against you for being gay. They are too afraid of being themselves that they focus on being prejudiced to someone that appears to be different.
There is no way that anyone can anymore make me feel bad for being gay. No way.
Last night I was at a popular sports bar and my friends who think I am straight. There were some gays at the bar. They normally never come. My freinds started talking that they were impressed that I spoke out in favor of gay rights and that they appreciated my commoents becuase they were tired of being bullies. But there was a guy who got all homophobic and started saying crap about gays and vene asked the waiter to kick them out. I stopped him on the spot and told the waiter that she had to kick me out too and I would take my whole group and boicot the place until she got fired. Everybody just jumped on that guy and he afterwards apologized to our group. He look at me and said, "hey you are the gay freindly guy from the other night..." and smiled. He changed topic and we had a few high fives after that.
No one will ever make me feel unconfortable to defend gays and any bullied minority.
Even though I am in the closet, that is a whole other story due to my role and relatively significant impact in my town. I make a difference now and then and I must be careful how I come out.
Dear friends, don't be afraid to defend who we are and alwsys defend those abused.
Peace and love!

No matter how big or small, these kinds of acts will have a ripple effect more than you could ever know. Some people like to throw whole parades to show support but it really is often things like what you did that start changing things at the core.

Shane..I so agree each of us even a litle thing can make a difference..we think we are advanced human beings..2011 but people cannot go out without comments..when you find yourself sittng next to someone and both of you hide something because if you say it will make your life even harder.. things wont change unless more people say ..we should all be able to live in peace ..
