Vow To Live LGBT Against Suicide Community Group
A community of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (and straight) people who choose life over the tragedy of suicide. By joining this group you are making a vow to live a full, happy life regardless of others opinions and ignorance of and toward the LGBT population and allies.
My family is not really nosy but they don't want to have anything to do with my association with the LGBT community. Being a Bisexual person that was raised Christian and who is also a minister's daughter it is very tough being out and being accepted by my family. They somehow think that I am just confused even though I tell them I am not and that I have been out for years. I guess being married to a straight man doesn't help. They really think I am just going through some kind of phase.
I was in a serious same sex relationship for years I am wondering what more is it going to take for them to realize that being Bisexual is just who I am? It is awful that your persoanl space is being invaded. I hope that your situation will change and allow you to have more privacy. I am dreaming and praying for the day to come when I am in my own place and I don't feel as though I am living under a microscope. And speaking of gay movies I would love to buy the entire collection of the L word on DVD but don't think that would go over so well on the family DVD movie and TV show display shelf if you know what I mean.
I advise going out to places in the LGBT community away from home. And try to find ways to bring in additional income for yourself. I have been working on getting things set up with my own place it is just going to take me some time and money to do. To help me deal with things I go to my support groups online, and chat with my online friends when I have time. I do art work and listen to music with headphones or read when I feel the need to escape in a healthy way or write. I hope you try some of these things to destress or to escape.
