Hello Doctors I am a 55 year old male that has been dealing with type 2 diabetes for about 10 years . I do not have a problem controling my sugar for mist of the years. About 2 years ago the pain in my legs kept getting worse to the point I now for the past year an a half am unable to work because of the pain. I have seen many doctors and have tried all the options open for my problem with no luck. For the past year I have been on disability and living on narcotic pain meds just to exist .
I hate the life I am forced to live and am at the mercy of my pain doctor. My only hope of obtaining a somewhat normal life was to try medtronics cordical stimulator which I did the trial about 4 months ago. Well my doctor knows of my sensitivity to pain and when he installed the wires gave me calling for the discomfort , which did not help at all. I feel he is totally irresponsible when it comes to my care .

To cut to the Chase the procedure was the most painful thing I have ever been thru, I felt like I was being tortured . The stimulator did nothing but make my pain worse and after the trial the rep from medtronic hinted to me that something just wasn't right. When I used the stumulator it increased my pain and made it unbearable to use . So the trial was unsuccessful, my question is isn't the electrical stimulation supposed to mask the pain not make it worse? I need to know what to do my only hope of getting off the narcotics was the stimulator . What do I do and what are your recommendations.
