Victims of Psychopaths Community Group
Is he or she a sociopath or psychopath? Think we're only talking about serial killers here? Psychopaths, sociopaths and even narcissists come in every walk of life, every career level, and every socio-economic category.
I do recall in the beginning well most of the first 6 months of the relationship, when he was changing his story or faking something else (putting on a new mask) his accent would change.....
It was as if he was putting his suit on, and in his keeness to be authentic, his accent would change (there were 3 different accents - he had lived in 3 different places all geographically quite far apart.
I remember at the time, thinking how odd it was that his accent was changing, it was almost 'over acting'
In terms of them crumbling, I wouldnt have thought so, and if so... it would only be for a short period of time.... (when they had loss of supply) but they soon get that back from someone else, and bounce back like you meant nothing.
The mask is who they are. They wear this every day. I think there can be sometimes when they lie a little less.... but they still lie.
Personally, honestly I think that they are weak people.... they enjoy deceiving.... being deceptive. mentally I don't think they even do it consciously - sometimes it is part of a strategy but usually not, the lies just fall out of their mouths.
All I can imagine, is that in their own mind, they are visualising themselves wherever they are and almost convincing themselves of this lie (why his accent used to change when he was throwing himself into character. You could actually see the character he was being...... it was clear to me that at different times in his life, he played different roles and different characters. It really depended who he was with or around.
