My sociopath has hit what I think it rock bottom. Now he won everything in court by presenting lies about abuse and an illusion of wealth, when in fact he lives in an apartment with another felon with no furniture and using a borrowed car. So, how did he get this far? He devalued me by using the one percent of truth mixed with 99 percent of lies. He also plays vicitm extremely well. He has an extraordinary ability to be pathetic.

Sunny, it does feel like a paranormal ability because I know what mine is all about yet if i allowed him to talk to me for long enough, I would feel sorry for him. And we all know what happens after that.....

I agree with you, it does seem like some kind of magical power, I have even entertained the thought that he sold his soul to the devil or practices witchcraft or something! Ok, so that's far-fetched, but they do have an evil, evil gift to weasel their way into our hearts and minds. Most of them are brilliant. I never thought I'd be obedient or submissive to anyone. My family called me a maneater before him, but by the time he got done with me I was like a 50s housewife, totally devoted, & would apologize for doing nothing wrong. In a way I admire him for being so cunning, but of course I don't really admire him because he's a sick sadistic creep.

I think their power is understanding the minds of others. I would just casually mention someone in my life a couple of times, someone he'd never met, and he could somehow come up with a complete psychological profile of their hidden motives, wants and needs. And it was dead on. So imagine how well he could understand ME and his other victims after months and years of knowing them... scary. It's like they have some kind of weird access to the wiring of your brain, and can just push buttons and flip switches as they please. They use verbal persuasion, lying, and acting to push those buttons. Those are other gifts they have-- lying and acting. Mine could probably win an Oscar if he went into acting.
