Victims of Psychopaths Community Group
Is he or she a sociopath or psychopath? Think we're only talking about serial killers here? Psychopaths, sociopaths and even narcissists come in every walk of life, every career level, and every socio-economic category.
I did want to say, however, the mother of a psychopath specifically asked other mothers of psychopaths to respond to her. I guess there are few of such people on this forum. I think there have been in the past. People come and go. This is not the only forum for victims of psychopaths and, if this one did not help her much, I hope she found a better forum for her.

All the others died.
The mother of the psychopath needed help. I provided the information I had. I can offer research, which I do. I honestly think a lot of DX talk is damaging to other victims: this is not a responsible behavior. Who actually has a degree in criminal psychology to offer these DXs? My daughter is a psychologist from a good university. She thinks all this is 100% bullshit.
Observe: I don't DX the person who targetted me nor whatever "weird boyfriends" I might have had in the past. All men and women who have multiple partners have had their share of "weird people".
I came to this group because the person who targeted me is a textbook Con Artist and these are always, by definition, psychopaths.
People are damaged. In general. That doesn't give us free pass to go on DXing everyone around. Also, whoever has had more than 50% of their relationships with one specific type of mental illness patient, like codependents to, needs to look at themselves much more than on the perpetrators.
We need real help: organizations for legal support, for psychiatric support, etc. And this is not available. I have searched everywhere.
There are many more forums than you cited. I don't recall their names right now, but I have visited many. Maybe we have to find the one that is right for us, or start a new one, if we can't find one that is a good fit.
Actually, all I found here were role models. The focus is on the psycho and who had the worst psycho, who was the prettiest and not how to reconstruct a life that was destroyed by crime. That was my problem: I didn't find any support here for that.
There have been many posters who talk about rebuilding their lives. There are different mixes at different times. Currently, members discuss this aspect in their journals more.
One thing we do not like to see here is judgment of other victims.
I hope you find a forum that meets your needs.
