Because you do. You are normal and he is not. A psychopath can reduce any person to this feeling--utter worthlessness. You are a real, genuine, normal, loving human being and you have all of those wonderful qualities to give to another one like yourself. The primary thing most of us want in life is to be with someone who loves us. You can give it, so you will receive it.Never from him.

What are good qualities bring in life? For me they always brought a lot of suffering when in the end people like him have other partners and they win all the time.

I think it's the first time in my life that I have doubts about my values and good heart. Because I see people like me suffer and never succeed.

I think being able to love is a great gift but can be a curse sometimes, just like any other gift, some people, not only psychos are going to try and take advantage of your good heart, that is why you need to wise up and know who you can share your gift with and who you need to protect your heart from. You need to get to that point where you have enough love and respect for yourself so you will put your heart and your safety above these worthless people (psychopaths and such), do not allow them in your life because they make your life miserable, you only live once and you are responsible for your own happiness. Regarding psychos being with other partners, yeah they have the ability to lie, cheat and turn into someone who they are not so other people like them, remember it is all fake, they have to fake happiness most of the time, I can't tell you how they really feel inside because I have never been one but I highly doubt we would want to trade places with them. We, as empathic people have the chance to feel what real love is and be completely happy if we are lucky enough to surround ourself with good friends, family members and find a partner who is like us. Stay away from the psycho, you already know what love is not like, time to go find the opposite.

What you are saying give me hope! You are right I have the responsibility to choose who I want around me. And honestly at first, when I met him, even if he was telling me all those wonderful things, I had feelings that he could be not very stable……from the place he was living in, the fact he had ALL THAT FREE TIME for me, unusual things,etc…. But his charm and security made me think I could try. Now I know to pay attention to those things.
Right now I would had the opportunity to go out with another guy, but there are signals already that I do not like….maybe he is not a P but there are things I can't put in place! So I think is better I recover from this or I try and maybe in the future I'll have a real partner…..or maybe not.

I hear a lot of people on these sites that are still alone…..good people, compassionate, and P have a lot of partners. It's not right!!!!

I know it's not fair, but I assume you want to be in a meaningful relationship with a special person with values who wants to get to know you, understands you and has the ability to love you back like you deserve, that's not something you find everyday and it takes time to build.
The psycopath will get involved right away with anyone who he thinks he can use in one way or the other.
Those are two completely different things.

Yeah I do want a real relationship! Do you know what make me so upset and my heart racing? Thinking he is with another woman and that not do long ago he was saying he wanna marry me etc. I can t bare he is with her!!!! And that they are happy together!!

Remember, the emotions aren't real. Even his happiness with someone else is calculated. Happiness should come before getting what you want.

It s so long that I ve not being treated with respect. My ex P left me a month ago and ..... There are moments that I doubt the fact he is P. maybe it s just me that I m so upset..... I don t know! I feel so confused .... I feel so used......

Nutelina I know that feeling, it was like being run over by a truck. We had 5 little kids in the picture too when I got cut loose which made it all the harder. It will just take time to get over this. And the more you can learn like Bella said, the better. It took me a long time, years actually, to figure out what she was. But now it is so clear. You are already catching on to the truth, just keep after it.

Life will go on. Always remind yourself that your whole relationship with the S was an illusion, like being on drugs. It never was real. You can't hang on to an illusion because there is nothing there to hang onto. That is what being with an S is like. You can be sure he is NOT agonizing over the love you thought you shared, he thinks of everyone only as an object to be used. He thinks of his current one like that too.

Lo-o-ong story short, I have 50/50 but the D is still not final. The kids were deeply affected and have internalized some issues, but I have really devoted my life to them. I could never give up on helping them have a good life. Oldest is being targeted as the next victim by the S, and other than coaching her on how to not let Mom push her buttons, and explaining the real situation to the few people that will listen, all I can do is pray and be the best Dad I can be. So far, going pretty good but it has taken everything I have to get here.
