Is he or she a sociopath or psychopath? Think we're only talking about serial killers here? Psychopaths, sociopaths and even narcissists come in every walk of life, every career level, and every socio-economic category.
they will say they were crossing the street and a school bus almost ran into them. but there was no actual schoolbus and it was a black sudan car and no schoolbus was nearby that day.
and the car didn't almost run into them
they sell stories so the details don't matter to them.
a lot of the time they use certain words like "to tell you the truth" or "honestly" or "believe me" or " to be honest" when they are talking in their sentences, either to begin or during a sentence
not always but a lot of the time a liar will use those words to try to sell you the story
psychopaths use them often. occasionally normal people say them when telling the truth usually when you hear those words its a red flag that not everything is accurate in the story
also to catch a psychopath because they don't care about details when they lie they don't remember the small details they said
you can ask them later or the next day and they wont know the details they told you or they will say a different answer.
they will say that their yellow coat was stolen from the bench of the train station at lunch time
you ask them the next day what happened they will say their green jacket was missing from the gift shop next to the train station at 7pm
the point they tried to sell you is that a coat was stolen from around a train station
if you ask them how is their mother they will say their mother has cancer but in reality their mother was just diagnosed with arthritis
they don't care which health ailment they pick to them its all the same. as long as its in the same category then green and blue are the same
either way they are convincing because they know the person asking about their mother lets say an old family friend visiting town for the day or a store employee has no way to verify if the mother has cancer or not
unrealistic goals and grandiose thoughts. they overestimate themselves lets say a 70 yr old psychopath who talks about wanting to go to medical school and become a doctor. things that are not ideal
delusional things. they also waste money and have poor judgement, they act impulsive,
also if anyone dosnt agree with them , since they are the professor of every topic then the other person dosnt know what they are saying and the other person is either bad or dumb.
they will continue to look for new people until someone agrees with them and their lies
they also like to have sidekicks sometimes like a friend they can use and be in charge of, like a servant almost who agrees with everything they say and think and dosnt say their own opinion
sometimes they willbefriend a lower level psychopath or other personality disordered person who will agree with everything they say and let themselves get controlled by the psychopath. as you see they only have friends who will do work for them, get them things , help their reputation
but like you said they are mentally a child every year. they see everything as a game and everything is funny and for entertainment. which is dangerous, they think everything is funny
they think if they push an elderly fragile woman onto the sidewalk and take the purse that its a funny game for them to prevent from boredom even tho they might seriousely injure the elderly woman, she could break a hip and die.
they don't care if someone dies or gets seriousely hurt by their game. they don't care if the thing they think is fun completely destroys someones life or makes them lose their life fortune
they do impulsive things that seriousely hurt people. due to the psychopaths games a lot of people suffer
a 4 yr old doing a prank is one thing maybe annoying, a grown adult who is manipulative acting like the 4 yr old can do damage to many people
one reason the economy went bad is because of psychopaths in the government and the money business, the stock brokers, bankers. some of them were psychopaths who did games and risked money
a lot of psychopaths do become successful bankers, politicians, doctor , celebrity etc
because they know how to succeed for a while until they mess things up and in the end half the time they will fail after a long time in the career
they also use their childlike self as part of their charm to be friendly in the beginning to people because they know what people relate to subconscious.
they also have no or very little shame at all. they can make a fool of themselves like a young child picking their nose in the store and not caring. they don't have shame unless it impacts their reputation or future supply
I think something happens at a certain age with the brain of a psychopath around age 5 or so a part of their brain dosnt develop normally anymore or after they are born but around early childhood something happens with their brain. similar to autistic kids around age 2-5 you can tell they are different from regular kids
they can detect it on an mri also of adult psychopaths their brain looks different on the mri scan than the rest of people
when they are told certain words in the mri machine like funeral and potato. their brain reacted the same to funeral as it did to potato or chair. they had no separate emotional response
when the normal non cluster b people with empathy were in the mri their brain lit up different when they were told emotional words like cancer, funeral, injured puppy, kidnapped child etc
the part of the brain that lights up in normal people when told emotional words or emotional thoughts, did not light up at all it was like gone with people who are psychopath
Just about everything you said can or does apply to the person I knew; also, they had this "me, too" or "yeah, that happened also" happened after someone suggested it to them, or said they did it.
I guess such a mind would have no qualms about taking cues from TV and other mediums and acting like they're clever for saying it. I myself am somewhere on the autistic spectrum, though I'm not sure where, which is why thoughts like this perturb me; I wonder "am I like them?", and since this person is now claiming Asperger's syndrome (two months after I told them I MIGHT have it) I find myself often pondering: "what if they are...despite x x x x x "...?
