that's not an objective way to look at things. children have rights and are human.do you know how many children in our country are being drugged on psych meds or forced into therapy or locked away when they don't need to be? criminal adults cannot be changed by childhood mental health.and most people who develop mental illness don't develop symptoms until they are an adult. do you know 99 percent of foster kids are on one or more psychiatric drug. they do psych drug studies on foster kids when their brain is not done developing.most of those kids are not mentally ill.. for a real criminal sociopath there is no mental health treatment to do, they are born that way and no counseling or medication can fix how their brain is.
and why do you say by highschool its too late, when the fda dosnt even approve of psych drugs for kids under 18. the human brain is not done growing until around 20-30 yrs old.

you cant be paranoid about children. the only thing to do for child psychopaths is discipline and tell them what the rules are, or if they are setting fires or harming animals put them into juvenile delinquency.but they will never understand what they do is wrong. its like downs syndrome or autism, there is no way to cure it, no mental health treatment for it during childhood. only set rules,tell them what behavior is ok or not.

turning to drugs isn't evil , lots of teens try drugs out and turn out fine and quit on their own.being homeless is not someones fault,especally with the economy

your jumping to conclusions but theres no way to even tell which children are psychopaths unless they are commiting crimes then like lighting fires and torturing animals,bullying which are common traits of psychos in childhood.

childhood itself is not understood and is a disease according to the dsm, kids are weird, they go through weird phases. you cannot rule out mental illness in them like you can an adult. I was a very weird kid with phobias and phases that I grew out of none of the teachers at school understood me.i was forced to see child psychologists and they didn't do anything it was a waste of time and they didn't know what was wrong.no benefit from it.

weird kids turn into well rounded mentally sane adults without psychiatric treatment. they need to make a petition to stop kids from being forced into mental health treatment and protect their rights and them from psychiatric abuse, because theres tons of mental health professionals who exploit vulnerable kids under 18 for money by telling the parent their child needs treatment.

true psychos cannot change with mental health threatment at any age and normal misunderstood kids will be thrown into the looney bins and taken advantage of by shrinks. even in childhood children with personality disorders and psychos are good at tricking the mental health professionals to think their normal,they might even turn it aroun saying their parent or sibling is crazy

you don't seem to care about these vulnerable children suffering from mental illness you seem to focus on how they affected other peoples lives. makes me think you don't care about the well being of a 15 yr old who might have depression or bulimia, add,whatever the diagnoses.

putting a psychiatrist on every street corner is not going to prevent crime.high crime areas in citys are usually connected to poverty and housing project gang type of lifestyle and copying what everyone in your project does.
kids are told its the way to survive the projects by joing the gang, turning to crime.they are influenced

No, I don't know how many children are being drugged, forced into therapy and locked away. I was talking about the children who legitimately need mental health treatment and cant afford it. It would seem obvious that adult criminals couldn't be helped by children's mental health, however I believe that with the proper treatment, we can reduce the number of children who grow up to be criminals as adults. How does that not make sense to you? 99% of foster kids seems pretty high, but your the expert. Where are you getting your information? Also all sociopaths are not necessarily born that way. Nature v nurture ring a bell? I do however believe from the information I have read that if caught and treated in time, that some who are displaying traits of mental illness may be helped. I didn't say by high school it would be too late, I said it MAY be to late, I should of said for SOME it may be to late and that is true. I'm not paranoid. psychopathy is not treated by setting rules alone and it is in NO WAY like down syndrome or autism. Are you for real??? I never said turning to drugs is evil, I implied that it is usual for people with a mental issue to take many paths including turning to drugs, nor did I say that becoming homeless was anyone's "fault". Again, people with a mental illness are more at risk to become homeless. I'm not jumping to any conclusions and I don't care what you say, you may not be able to make a definitive diagnosis for some mental issues during childhood, but you can certainly monitor and treat the symptoms now. I really don't think the DSM characterizes childhood as a disease, but ill look into that. Lastly I am highly offended that you would insinuate that I don't care about vulnerable children. I'm a Court Appointed Special Advocate For Children in Texas and I have been advocating for FOSTER CHILDREN for 2 years. 32% of foster children are on psych drugs in Texas and "who" is advocating for these children? Oh lookee there, 2nd paragraph - CASA's are, other men and and woman, like myself, who go through extensive training but that don't care about these vulnerable children. (sarcasm).
