After 2 months NC, I heard from NP. The usual "I miss you" and " do you still want us?" BS. Then he informed me that I would probably be getting an email from someone (a guy who use to work for him pretending to be a chick). Well, I saw right through that one. Then he followed that up with that I'd receive a "fake" email from him breaking up with me. This is where I made the mistake and broke NC. I responded and said no need to send the fake email because we hadn't seen each other for 4 months or had contact for 2 so we were already broken up. Then of course that set off the entire "I never left you dialogue" on his part. He went on to say that he wanted to warn me, to keep me safe from the people out there that want to hurt me and him. Ok, we all know it's the new source who's starting to put two and two together.
Well, everything panned out as he said. The new source emailed me. I didn't respond. I just didn't want to get involved. I had been doing great for so many months.
Then I get the "fake" email from him. The email started out saying that he'd been seeing the new source for 2 years and had been living with her for 9 months (he and I had been together for 5 years). In this email, "he" said, "no, this is not a fake email, no mail email has not been hacked, etc." So I started responding. I got quite brutal on "his" end. I gave dead pan responses, like I know that's how you felt. I didn't respond with any emotion to anything. "He" even said, "You were never special and to me all women are cunts, meant to be toyed with and used." That was brutal. Still, I kept my cool. Now, this is the kicker. Next thing you know, the person writing the email revealed herself to be the new source saying she could never pretend to be him and that she was using the email from his phone while he was sleeping. (It was 3:45 AM). She claimed to be a kind person and a truthful person. Given the fact that she pretended to be him showed she's not a truthful person and given all the horrible things she said to me about me proved she's not a kind person. What changed her tune when she was pretending to be him was when I wrote that when I learned he was living with someone, I quietly walked away without confronting anyone because I didn't want to inflict hurt in anyone's life. Maybe this opened her eyes to exactly what she was doing in that moment.
After that she was sure back-peddling and then telling me that she tells him everything and that he will see the email tomorrow, blah, blah.
From the sounds of it, he deserves her. Sounds like she's broken into his phone, into his email account. She purposely set out to hurt me. It's as if she was a male dog pissing all over her territory. Well, she can have him all to herself. I feel sorry for her that she stooped so low to purposely hurt someone else for him.
Then she ended the discourse with seek the truth. She's a hypocrite. She used deception and malice. The fact that she even had to email me should have been an answer for her. She even admitted to having to use a private investigator. What more proof did she need? Also, she got my phone number some how. My NP hasn't called me in years, so I don't know how she got my number.
So those of you out there who are considering contacting the other sources, I don't advise it. I considered it in the beginning and many people on here advised me against it and I listened. I'm so glad I did because having been contacted by the NS, I see how badly it looks. The best thing to do is keep it NC all the way around, with all parties involved. NC saves the heart, soul and mind so much grief and anguish.

"Well gee buttfuck, do you think if I WANTED anything to do with you I would have completely ignored every message you sent me for 3 months straight?! Grab a brain!" Amazes me how asinine they are.
Anyways, whether it's him contacting you or her, you are being triangulated...totally and completely. The best thing you can do is stay away and do not have any further contact with either of them. That whole situation with the email sounds suspicious and just plain weird. But yeah, she's not in a good mental space! She's likely being very manipulated by him to be sending this email. Either he's painting things to look like you are still in the picture with him in some way or he could have even been pretending to write that email to you as him and then say he is her etc. You just never know with a P...they will go to any length.
Don't beat yourself up for responding...just allow it to strengthen your resolve not to respond the next time.
Yes, I think my P's new source is at a fragile state. This weekend I found myself wondering if she's staying with him or not. I don't know why I care, but I'm sure he's spinning it in his favor. I haven't heard from him, but today it did cross my mind that maybe it was him and then he decide to say it was her writing the email. I read through the email chain again and it doesn't sound like him at all and my intuition tells me it was her.
