So my ex sociopath was living in this country, applying for residency here in hopes of living and working here permanently. Then he ran off to Mexico and got married to his new victim upon their 2nd in person meeting. The last thing I wanted was for him to be granted residency in this country. He doesn't deserve to live here...he is a lying, abusive piece of shit, let him go back to Mexico where he belongs. Here he is offered so many opportunities, and there he has to struggle. I wanted him to go back to struggling. I also know if he eventually brings his wife here to stay she will be trapped. She will be in a country where she doesn't know the language, has no friends, has no job, and will be subjected (along with her 5 yr old son) to his abuse behind closed doors. So I had already reported him to the immigration office after all the abuse and everything he had done to me. Then after he got married I found out he was trying to bring his wife here to visit. She cannot come here to live unless he gets residency and then sponsors her, but she can come to visit if granted a visa. So I also reported him to the visa application office in Mexico where she had applied for a visa to come visit him.

Today they got their response back. The immigration department denied the visa request and said they suspected the marriage certificate to be a falsified document! Now I never said anything about a false marriage certificate to the visa office (I had no idea). But they know their stuff and either they want to prevent her from coming here and are just saying the document appears false, or it really IS a false document!

In a way this doesn't surprise me. I suspect he has also falsified other documents, as he has told me in Mexico you can "buy anything" from the right people for enough money. He told me he had his bad driving record in Mexico erased by paying off someone at the motor vehicle office. I wonder if his high school diploma, that helped him get the job here, is even real or maybe it is real but "paid for" rather than earned. He has consistently talked in the past about how corrupt things are in Mexico and how anything can be bought. I found it odd also that even though they got married, few of their friends appeared to know about it and there were no pictures and it didn't appear there was family involvement from either his side or hers. So I'm guessing maybe they actually did falsify some documents or something. They have 30 days to respond and provide information to clarify, or the decision to deny her visa will stand and she will be banned from attempting to come to this country for 2 years!

The even better news is with this, the immigration office here, where he's applying for residency, will also get record that he submitted a false document, and even if he were to legitimately marry her now, it would not make up for the fraud committed. I had also notified the tax department here that he is working 2 jobs, one for cash under the table, and eventually that information will end up being relayed to the immigration department as well. His work permit only allows him to be employed by one employer and that is the employer that he was granted the opportunity to come here for in the first place.

So this is one success...the big one I hope for is that they deny him residency and order him to return to Mexico permanently. Until then I'll be happy with this victory. He definitely chose the wrong girl to mess with...this girl doesn't take things lying down.
