Is he or she a sociopath or psychopath? Think we're only talking about serial killers here? Psychopaths, sociopaths and even narcissists come in every walk of life, every career level, and every socio-economic category.
I just read this online. Wow. For anyone who doubts the true manipulative power of a sociopath or psychopath, this will show it very clearly. This girl wasn't even 18 years old yet but convinced her boyfriend who she primarily had only an online/phone relationship with that he should commit suicide. And he did. The link is to the court transcripts outlining her involvement and the text messages they sent back and forth. It's completely chilling. (caution for anyone who might be sensitive to the subject matter)

She get a guy to kill himself, brags that SHE was the reason the church was filled, follows up with his mother and sister like she really was some kind of friend of his, tries to use his suicide as a platform for herself and as a way to garner sympathy...
Thought she was a genius, but didn't know that her deleted msgs. could be/would be recovered.
I read this in...as you warned...chilled amazement. I've lost a cpl. of loved ones to "cluster B" types, but never "got to" know how the other side got to them. So sad that "i love you to the moon and back" then leads to "i want you happy, so here's the best way to kill yourself". "You'll be my guardian angel".
Wow. That poor young man & his family. :( Without her encouragement, i don't think he would have done it. He loved his family too much. I can't even imagine what his family...especially mother, who was also being mindf*&^ed by this creature...must have gone/is going through. This will NEVER leave her mind and heart.
Glad that she got busted. So many times i don't think courts "get it" like they did here.
& here she wanted to hide behind being some ANTI suicide poster girl...making contact with those close to the edge, giving her plenty o' prey to choose from.

The sad thing with anyone who is considering suicide is that they are not thinking straight, they are not thinking logically, they are not really thinking clearly beyond what they are feeling in that moment. So of course they are extremely vulnerable to suggestion...especially if someone is suggesting that it's a good idea and that the world will just go on without them. I used to work in group homes for teens with behavioural issues...and they threatened suicide a lot. Most times it was a way to get attention. But we were trained to take each threat seriously and discuss it with them and go through a safety plan and the whole bit...even if it was just "I'm going to kill myself because you won't give me what I want right now!" The ones that weren't serious stopped making those threats because the boredom and monotony of having to sit down with a counsellor and discuss their feelings and make a safety plan became not worth it to them. But the ones that were serious had someone to talk to about it.
It's just mind blowing when you can actually see the thought process of a sociopath like you can in this exchange of texts. How sick they are, how they will say or do anything.
The way she turned herself into a minor celebrity after his death is sickening.
It reminds me how Ted Bundy used to work as a rape crisis counselor. Apparently he
was quite good at it. How he could then go out and rape and murder is so completely
twisted. Anything to feed--sick monsters!
