Well, psychopaths are generally deluded, psychopathy is a psychosis. They believe that the whole world is against them and their life is constantly a war in which they want to win at all costs. It´s kind of sad.

Actually, psychopathy and psychosis are not the same thing; psychosis is defined as "a loss of contact with reality" whereas a psychopath is generally synonymous with sociopath, both terms refer to someone who lacks emotions and the ability to empathize with their fellow human, almost always taking the form of manipulating or abusing them some other fashion.

I think they have the entire encyclopedia Britannica of ambiguous sentences built into their genetic programming .. and so they just think on their feet and make it up as they go along!

'you must have heard me wrong...' ... 'what I meant to say was ...' ' you have misunderstood what I meant ..' etc etc

My Ex lied all day every day, I think every sentence he told me had a lie in it. I think he really did believe his own lies. He would even lie to me about what he would eat for lunch! So ridiculous! I would call him out and say well I ran into so and so, and he said you two ate something different for lunch? He would argue with me and tell more lies to try to convince me. Then I would ask a third person, the person would confirm that my Ex was lying. My Ex never admitted to lying. Then he told me “OK Neive, do you want me to take a picture of everything I eat before I eat it? Ok babe, I will start taking pictures of my food and texting it to you, I am sorry and I don’t want to upset you by thinking that I am lying about what I eat.” I thought (at the time) OMG, I am a freaking crazy asshole! LOL!! We always played stupid games throughout the day, If I won he would totally convince himself that he won. He hardly ever forgot about his lies either, he stuck to them weeks, even months later. Maybe because he convinced himself it was the truth? I didn’t know how to handle him so I reversed his stupid games he played on me, sometimes it worked and I could get some truth. I knew he was a perv, and had a sketchy sexual past to I pretended to be open, and liked what he liked so that I can get information out of him. I was correct, he admitted to a lot of crazy things, even men being involved!! I then told him what I did to get that information from him. I told him I played along with him to see what he said, and I didn’t want to be with a person like him. He seemed so shocked that I would do that to him! He backtracked, when that didn’t work. He told me he was playing along with ME (used my own tactic) said he wasn’t like that at all but thought I was so he didn’t want to look inexperienced. That was a typical day for us, and typical conversations. I don’t ever want to be in a crazy situation like that again!

Hmm......idk...I read an article which claimed that psychopathy is a psychosis and that they aren't in touch with reality....which kind of made sense to me....can't find that article now though....

I think mine is highly suggestible; they get interested in something, or get around something for a while, then start to become it. Also, the more they lie or exaggerate something, the more truth it becomes to them.
