Victims of Psychopaths Community Group
Is he or she a sociopath or psychopath? Think we're only talking about serial killers here? Psychopaths, sociopaths and even narcissists come in every walk of life, every career level, and every socio-economic category.
Ever meet a sociopath/psychopath who either knows they are, or suspects they are, and enjoy touting it like a mark of honor?
Probably not, I would say. Mine, however, seems to be in love with psychology--particularly criminology, at least on a superficial level. She has always had a "thing" for serial killers; this thing is both academic, and aesthetic: she "likes" them, feels sorry for them.
The believing she is an S/P is fairly new, at least as far as posting it on the internet (where she lives), about 2 years or so, which is about the maximum amount of time her various "phases" tend to last; but she always seemed to love serial killers, at least as long as she has had profiles on sites.
Since I believe this person also has HPD, I believe this is a kind of social rebellion which she uses to augment her already diffuse identity, which brings her attention. It's not necessarily the "murderers weren't so bad" part of her that qualifies her as a S/P, but her ease with which she lies, manipulates, and uses others. The serial killer fixation is just cause for further suspicion.
I'd like to add that this serial killer fixation isn't the normal fascination some people might have with them, and all manner of other evils: that of studying them for academia's sake, or reading about them to get scared, or tongue-in-cheeking dark humor; this is "man, I feel like them, wish I cold talk to them"--drawing gay porn of them...
My point in posting this: has anyone ever met an S/P who seems to tout their status as one? If not, does this behavior on her part lend any reason to doubt that she actually is one?

I can't say I'm qualified to diagnose anyone but a "regular" person should feel guilt and admit his wrongs. He won't do any of that and continues to do wrong. What else could he be?
serial killers show in court when they think they'll get off. I think S/P's
would definitely feel this, narcissists too maybe?
I've encountered that smirk quite a few times, it's really creepy. I've also
listened to guys brag about getting girls to fall in love with them so that
they could have sex and then dump them, their bewilderment was part
of the "fun".
I even had some guy I think was a S/P tell me all the head games he
was playing on me to get me to crack. He did this with a little smile on
his face, I actually think he thought he was being intriguing. Barf!!
God there aren't any laws of karma. What the hell would
they come back as? Snakes? Cockroachs?
I'd like to think they have inadequate tools fro reincarnation: ie, they don't have souls, so they simply expire upon death, and it was like God (or what have you) was using them exactly for what they were the whole time: unfeeling tools.

I guess the difference in mine has to do with her focus on her identity (or identities) and fixation on psychology. She wants to be different and to make people think she's bringing a new perspective on sociopathy while loving sociopaths and claiming to be one herself, along with having Asperger's...and plantar faciitis, and heart problems...and lupus...even though she's far from bed-ridden and her skin looks pristine.
