Is he or she a sociopath or psychopath? Think we're only talking about serial killers here? Psychopaths, sociopaths and even narcissists come in every walk of life, every career level, and every socio-economic category.
Paranormal Activity (the Sociopath Edition)

Just in time for Halloween.
What happens when you get the unknown, the spiritual, and the occult together with Axis 2's?
I've got my story...and it's a doosy, but before I tell a short version of mine, let me just say that I am not the only one who has suffered from the seemingly uncommon, but by no means unheard of, paranormal inspired depredations of psycho/sociopaths.
I have a friend to bizarre tales, and those who spin them, often with child-like enthusiasm. This friend of mine has a cousin who was raped/impregnated 9 times, all of which ended in miscarriages or abortions. This was her bread and butter, but she also pretended to be possessed, usually by ancient gods she claimed to be in contact with; she claimed Ares, Greek god of war, gave her a magic sword, and other things I don't immediately recall. She was also a vampire. Lol.
My friend also knew a person from...shall we say the same vicinity?....as my S/P, and this person had 3 psychic powers. What they were, I didn't ask.
Finally, my freind's ex was supposedly a devout christian, yet dabbled with the occult, spoke with demons, and blamed his abuses of my friend on the demons he claimed were floating (buzzing?) around her influencing him. He would tell her he had to bribe them to leave her alone and things like that.
Now for my story: this is an elaboration on what happened in my first topic.
Mine claimed that she had known a dead boy (ghost) in his early teens since the ages of...8,,10, 11, 12, it varied on the person and situation I suppose. She told me 11 at first, then changed it to 12 when I began trying to offer a rational explanation for it.
This dead boy was both a bff and a worst enemy that wanted her to commit suicide so they could be together in this other world he lived in.
This other world was 3 feet above ground level ( a concept I believe she picked up from Sylvia Browne , who got it from the New Age movement which she appertains to, who, I believe, may have gotten it from the a certain native american tribe/tribes) and was populated by other ghosts, all suicides, murders, and "people angry with god", along with...you guessed it: demons. Among these demons was Lilith, the "mother" of these demons. I'm not going to get into why I think she "saw"/"spoke" with her there, or mythology, just suffice it to say that this is what she claimed.
These "demons" were her friends....and everyone from that world looked like a human anime character. She actually told me that "Demons are transparent and (name of alleged ghost) only partially so", but in a picture she drew of them (demons) and him, she claimed the opposite, and the picture showed it as well.
I asked her if she knew any angels, she said " I know a few, but don't get too close, their not the type to follow you around" (as opposed tot he dead boy). She seemed to have experienced a lot of things of the sort, but usually only if asked in response to a different story, and often only for certain people. I, for instance, was the only person she told about her angelic encounters, and the only person she told about being raped. Obvious embellishments.
She also claimed to be a "psychopomp" one who conducts souls and lost souls to the afterlife, of which her alternate reality was a part.
The "Ghost boy wold also possess her, and she would write blog entries and leave comments as "him".
And oh yes, she also had a spiritual experience with the virgin Mary...she's identified as Jew, Religious Jew, Liberal Jew, Jewish Pagan, Muslim, Voodooist, Catholic, and Baptist.
Many would characterize much of the above as schizophrenia, and such a diagnosis would not be unwarranted under normal circumstances. It's most likely that she believed a good part of what she said, but what with all the plot holes, changes, inconsistencies, along with other things such as her personality and other exploits(plus the fact that all of these things are now gone as she has either excericised them, or admitted she was mentally ill, depending on her mood, perhaps it had all outlived its usefulness, or perhaps she simply became bored with it all), make this obvious as a premeditated deception by a lucid mind with a thing for attention.
In closing, I'd like to quote Doctor Al Bernstein from his book "Emotional Vampires" about people with HPD-- the personality disorder U believe most appropriately fits my S/P--that I think corroborates my assessment:
pg.93
"Suggestibility:
Histrionic vampires are such good shape shifters that it almost seems as if they have no permanent form of their own. They automatically start becoming what you want as soon as they sense that you want it. They are superb hypnotists. They don't have to create an alternate reality; they're one. They can easily talk to plants, meditate on their past lives, and see angels. Histrionics invented New Age everything."
Couple THAT with narcissism, a dash of ASPD, and bipolar, or perhaps BPD, and the results could be rather bizarre; and indeed, they were.
Would anyone else care to share a spoooooky socio story?
