Victims of Psychopaths Community Group
Is he or she a sociopath or psychopath? Think we're only talking about serial killers here? Psychopaths, sociopaths and even narcissists come in every walk of life, every career level, and every socio-economic category.
I watch interviews on TV sometimes where I know the person being interviewed is lying about everything, because I've done my homework on the subject. Yet still I WANT to believe them. Sometimes I feel ashamed for being so easily fooled.
After a while I get so fed up with people that I stop watching interviews and political "debates". You get to the point where you don't believe anybody anymore.
Sometimes it just comes down to making a living. I saw the results of a confidential survey of preachers of various denominations...about half of them admitted that they lost their religious faith years ago. Trouble is, they have no job skills...so they continue on and do the best they can to help people with their problems...even though they know that their sermons are mostly BS.
They're not bad people, they just don't have any other way to make a living. So they lie and hope their counseling does enough good to justify what they're paid. They're like salesmen...if salesmen told the full truth about the junk they sell, they wouldn't make a dime. These days people expect salesmen and public officials to lie.
I suppose that if we actually knew how much everyone is lying to everyone else, civilization would collapse...LOL.
You have honesty rooted in you. You will tell the truth even if someone may get hurt by it. You won't face much trouble in maintaining healthy relations and a good atmosphere at home as well as in office. It is good that you are sticking to the rule - 'Honesty is the best policy' that was taught to us in school.
I guess I thought most people were honest most of the time. How naive of me.
I'm reading everyone's posts. I loved this test.
