Victims of Psychopaths Community Group
Is he or she a sociopath or psychopath? Think we're only talking about serial killers here? Psychopaths, sociopaths and even narcissists come in every walk of life, every career level, and every socio-economic category.
I had a thought which really covers many situations I tend to see on these forums.
During my divorce and now during co-parenting, I save any examples of my ex N/P's communications which demonstrate what he is really like and what harm he causes, especially regarding the kids or anything which might be regarded as harrassment or violation of the divorce decree. The more flagrantly caustic, unreasonable, accusing/attacking, and narcissistic; more likely I am to save them. You never know when you might need to show these to establish a pattern and quality of behavior. So they can be useful evidence to avoid "he said, she said" situations. It is always harder when very stressed to try to remember the past examples.

But my attorney told me that all the documentation I had for the courts made all the difference. Anytime, we go into court, and especially if there is a N, S, or P involved, we have to go in fully prepared. Sometimes, that's all we can do. And, I saw early on how my attorney needed pushed at times to do his job. It was a challenge, but well worth it. Now, all these years later the children are amazing young adults. All three are ambitious, hard working people who have beautiful hearts with compassion and kindness. They're happy and healthy. I couldn't ask for more.
I also lately have been having strangers appear in my life to help inform me, and just as I need them too. It's kind of strange to me. I have had growing synchronicities and signs and "answers to my prayers" within a day of asking. And lately two complete strangers entered my life and told me their life stories as if we were the best of old friends. Their life experiences had lessons in there for me, with what I was agonizing at over the time. Life does work in mysterious ways. I feel like I am being led out of this horrible transformative phase in my life. And I hope toward helping others too.
I'm so glad you've been sent answers to your prayers! It's such a wonderful feeling when you just 'know' that it was Godsent. When I was going through that whole ordeal with getting custody of the children, I was totally alone. But yet, I had enough help and was able to overcome the struggles.
One of my sister's psychopath boyfriends wanted to literally kill me because I took her to court. A couple months ago, I wrote about that part of the many challenges at that time here in this DS forum. It was one thing after the other, and again it was where truth was stranger than fiction. The last two decades have been crazy and bizarre. The best part of all of it has been the children.
Even with dealing with my sister's psychopath BF, I was documenting and writing everything down. It truly does make a difference in keeping every single thing documented and recorded for the judges and the courts.
