Victims of Psychopaths Community Group
Is he or she a sociopath or psychopath? Think we're only talking about serial killers here? Psychopaths, sociopaths and even narcissists come in every walk of life, every career level, and every socio-economic category.
Since we're approached VD, or Single's Awareness Day... and we touched on the topic of posed pictures... I'll tell you my Valentine's Day Story:
1995 - Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and infinite sadness of Gen X.
Me and one of my buddies were going out to be anti-Valentines... but instead, when I showed up to his house, he surprised me with a rose, some chocolates, and a paper-machete princess hat & staff he made himself.
We were total dorks. He took me out to eat, followed by bowling & 1/2 movie (we snuck in and then ran out), and then hanging at our favorite coffee place and seeing some old friends. I had to wear the princess hat the entire night or he got to kiss me and he had a Burger King crown he had to wear in return.
It was so much fun.
Now I don't know if my ex-husband forgot that the above fore-mentioned story was mine and thought he heard it from a different girlfriend...
-OR-
if he thought he was being romantic by copycatting my old high school boyfriend.
...... Honestly, either bizzarro scenario is possible... but my ex-husband definitely knew the story of the "1995 Valentine's Day Best Date Ever".
2009 - Anyway, on VD I come home from work and my ex-husband's at my house with some tiara he bought at Walmart and a princess staff he made out some junk... and a rose. I was a little weirded out (because I was sure we'd just talked about this a few weeks before then) and had one eyebrow raised the whole night... but when he asked if we were going bowling after dinner, I was like WTH???
I mean, seriously.......... it was just weird. Who tries to copy their girlfriend or boyfriend's ex?
It's SWF creepy.

My ex wanted to copy everything that he did with his ex, with me- like holidays and restaurants etc. Bizarre!!! And then tried to copy things I liked to do with his new partner. It's like they can't come up with their own stuff!
Asking him a question like "why" would have resulted in a MASSIVE melt-down and him telling me how I never appreciate anything he does - although I did call him out on it after I broke up with him.
Again, either scenario is possible because my ex is also taking his new girlfriend to all of "our" spots.
Like one anniversary, my friend came to me laughing because he had posted on his FB with new gf that for their anniversary, they were going to be daring and try sushi........ when we used to take our friends out for sushi all the time --- not to mention we served it at our wedding. LOL!!!
The two of them also stalked me to Disneyland when I took the kids by myself.
@lovefighter... I think it's the lack of empathy because it's caring for other that gives us the ability to be "original" and do nice things --- because we like seeing people happy. That's why psychos have to copy people.
Sorry, I have creme brulee and chocolate on the brain so I'm typing faster than I can think...

My ex psycho professed to like all the same kinds of music as me (music is important to me), and even seemed quite knowledgable on the bands I especially liked. Using many of the exact phrases I used, and feeding me bits of info about the bands, that I had infact told him a few days/weeks previous.
But ... on scrutinizing his music collection ... and to my horror LOL ... I found nothing but dance music and bands like Westlife ... and I confess I openly mocked him, sometimes in front of his friends about this, and strangely, one morning, I took some rubbish out to the bin, and inside were all of the offending CD's
