Victims of Psychopaths Community Group
Is he or she a sociopath or psychopath? Think we're only talking about serial killers here? Psychopaths, sociopaths and even narcissists come in every walk of life, every career level, and every socio-economic category.
When the p came to my country I thouht for more than ten years that she was the really really bad one. Everything was the total opposite. Well, at least she now know that others have been ino the same horrow. She lived with him in this village and forgave and forgave because that was the word of God. Horrifying!!!!
I wish I could solve this for you I really do.
This is the best method I've seen for dealing with these toxic people.
No one will get what you're going through except those of us who have
experienced our own P. Or those wonderful, yet sadly rare people who are
not naive but still have true empathy.
I have found it best to avoid the subject altogether with anyone except for
my therapist and people who have been there and are committed to the
healing process.
Also you probably already know this, but document, document document and
find someone who can help you legally that is aware of the tactics used
by the severely disordered. Forensic psychologists who are well versed in
parental alienation, family law attorneys who specialize only in family law
child psychologists that really get the danger of this man. It can seem like
looking for a needle in a haystack because it is. Most professionals don't
get it, and many have their own personality pathologies.
Some can enjoy fleecing people without offering any real help or just feeling
superior in comparison to another's tattered life. It's important not to give up
and keep looking Know what you're doing is nothing short of heroic. Your
situation is unbelievably difficult and you are persevering admirably even
though it's hell. Please hang in there and know you're not alone. Your conscious
will be sweet and light knowing what you have done and continue to do to
protect your kids.
Melanie Tonia Evans has some interesting articles on her website about how
our fear will draw the P towards us. Although I'm not a woo woo new ager, and
I'm wary of hypnosis, etc. I have found that using the grey rock method and forcing
myself to be indifferent to the outcome moment to moment (of course long term I'm
anything BUT indifferent) has had an excellent effect to lessen the morbid interest
of P and co. I always show indifference when I have to negoiate, and although it
took me a long while to be able do this (and I'm still trying to truly master this) it has
helped tremendously to mitigate the damage done by the P and co as well as the
attendant gossip mongers (aka vultures)
Hang in there--sending you the very best wishes
