Victims of Psychopaths Community Group
Is he or she a sociopath or psychopath? Think we're only talking about serial killers here? Psychopaths, sociopaths and even narcissists come in every walk of life, every career level, and every socio-economic category.
It was a pretty bad experience
Saying about the baby, because he knows that it is something that you are upset about. He is gaslighting you again.
I will say this until the day I die; think about how bad you feel now and multiply it by infinity and that's the HELL you will endure by having children with these "people".
You are one of the lucky ones who got out before then, praise God!
Please try to find strength from within and remember to treat yourself kindly. Life will get better. Vent when you need to. There are ears that'll listen.
***I also agree with emysty. Be grateful. You are lucky. I am lucky, too.
Emysty and movingon....yes I guess I am lucky. Reading all your stories it made me realize that. A baby with a man like that it would be not very happy.
Nutellina, my exNS did the same thing the first time we split up after weeks of NC. Personally, I think they leave you, have a look around and realize that at that moment, there is no one else available and willing who will be able to offer the same amount of narcissistic supply as well as make them look good to the outside world (in order to maintain the façade of normalcy). I held off on my NC for days after receiving the text, until someone close to me (whom I looked to for advice) suggested I reply, simply so as not to be rude (I was not aware that my ex was sociopathic back then). So I did. Anyway, that was all he needed to reel me back in. One of the biggest regrets of my life was answering that text message. I should have stayed with NC.
He then proceeded to draw me back in, with the promises of things being 'different this time around'. He mentioned a family and babies, which is how I wound up pregnant. He promised to help me make all of my dreams come true. Trust me, its all a load of BS. It really is. When you needed him the most, he left you. I am so sorry you had to go through that. I can relate and only hope that you had supportive family members and friends around like I did to help you through that difficult time of losing your baby. You do not want to start a family with a man like that. As emysty has said, we are very lucky.
It sounds like you are going to stay strong with your NC. I’m so glad to hear this. I think the knowledge you have, knowing that he is incapable of change is playing a big part in your strength. However, if you do end up having a moment of weakness, please try and think of what I and the other posters have said above. Don’t make the same mistake I did.
Hugs to you!
Loverfighter it was the second time worst compare the first time?
The fact to reply even one time only, with even with one word only, I feel like I'm going to ruin this silence that I built to protect myself and that for me it means "respect for myself". I feel like if I answer with an "ok" , all my work will be over.
