Back in the nightmare!

After a 4 year relationship with a sociopath,  I finally went no contact after finding out he had gotten a woman 23 years younger than he is pregnant. Now after 3 months no contact,  I had to contact him again because a test for STD'S came back positive for herpes.  He was the only person that I've slept with in the last year so I knew it had to be him. My pain is back, worse than ever now. I crave seeing him, talking to him. I don't want to do this all over again but can't stop.

I almost let myself be destroyed by a psychopath and still struggle to move on even though I chose NC a long time ago and stuck with it. It's like I have to keep reminding myself that he is a psychopath.

I am sorry he damaged your health and your heart. I hope you choose yourself in this scenario.

You CAN stop. Are you in therapy? If not, I suggest finding a therapist ASAP to deal with this trauma. This man gave you an incurable disease (probably because he was sleeping around). That doesn't sound like someone you should miss. I think a therapist could help you work through the issues that are causing you to crave someone so toxic. I know it's difficult to break away from these sociopaths but I promise you can do it. I've gotten away, permanently, from several of them. It wasn't easy but I did it.
