mine didnt react at all..lol..he still did go on with lies like nothing had happened..

i didnt tell him he was but told him I think he is one...

I blocked all further communication after I exposed him so I never had to deal with his reaction. :-)

When I tell friends they don't get it. They just don't understand unless they have personally tangled with a psychopath too. Then we gab for hours. It's comforting when you find someone to commiserate with .

I never told the 1st one. I didn't realize it until AFTER I left him.

This recent one, after spending 6 yrs studying psychopathy since that first one, I talk about it all the time. So I would talk about psychopathic behavior traits with this one all the time. I talk about it with everyone I know, all the time. And he seemed really interested in everything I was saying. Then when I found out that everything he had told me about himself was lies and he had been lying to me every single day about everything, then I finally texted him that he is a textbook sociopath and to never contact me again. He hasn't.

He did however, one time, tell ME that he thought he was a psychopath. I laughed it off thinking he was joking or that because he had just started reading about it due to me talking about it, that he assumed like a lot of people do when they start reading about disorders, that he had it. When I started laughing, he even asked, in total seriousness, "why are you laughing?" I said "everyone says that when they start reading about a disorder." And that was that. Now it drives me crazy. Did he have a moment of conscience there where he was going to confess? And I ruined it?

I found out later that another of his victims had also read about sociopathy after what he did to her, and sent him an article on it, telling him he was one. So he had known long before I started talking to him about it. But he played like he knew nothing about it. And I'm guessing his 1st wife probably figured it out as well and told him.

Tried to enact a smear campaign. It didn't work. I had evidence and a wealth of intelligent people surrounding me and him. When that didn't work he tried harder. Was called out on his shit by others. Got the message finally when all people that he knew refused to communicate with him and outright called him a liar. He moved on to other sources but very involuntary. Feel sorry for new victims but I can't change that. Everyone that means something to him (if there is such a thing) knows who he is.....only brand new people at this point can be manipulated.

I told my recent ex that I thought he was a sociopath, and he told me that he knew he isn't right, but that I had issues, too. His family tells me, also, that he's the oddball of the family. His mom will remind me every-now-and-then that his temper, attitude and reactions towards me (or the women of his past) reminds her of his father, who up and left the family when my ex was 5 years old, leaving her to raise the family on her own.

I'll see anger in him, and I don't know if it has to do with him not knowing his father. I don't know if his issues stem from his family's past.

He recently made me very upset, and he made me cry. He??? Laughed and told me to get over it. No sympathy in the man.

When I told him he was a psycho, he acted dumb, he said if you really thought I am a psycho you wouldn't be here with me right now (meaning I would be scared because a psycho is a serial killer), I remember he stayed with me all night that night acting "normal", when he left for work in the morning he told me he'd call me and see me later that day but I never heard from him. I figured he got scared and discarded me because I had exposed him, but he started to text me and call me again 5 months later. I ignored him for a couple of months but the more I ignored him the more he would insist and stalk. I just couldn't understand how somebody who can treat you like you don't exist for 5 months would go so crazy all of a sudden because you won't talk to them. I guess he was bored or running out of supply, he stalked me for 3 months until he lured me back in, that's when, by accident, I saw a book he had bought "The Psychopath Test" ... Really? I am not sure if it is a good thing that they find out and learn more about what they are.

Wow Georgeous!! He bought The Psychopath Test!? Yeah that's scary. I agree it's not a good thing for them to find out because it just makes them more efficient psychopaths. And while I was with this last one, and already had 6 yrs of psychopathy research behind me, I pointed out "The Sociopath Next Door" book in the book store and told him it was a really good book. I know he started reading about psychopath stuff after that because he called me and told me he thought he was a psychopath after reading about it. He had a moment of honesty I guess.

AgentSmith, yes I still feel bad about it but I guess it doesn't matter what you do or tell to these people because, in my experience, you can never win or make them better, they can only get worse, but I was so tired of being lied to and being played with that I got upset and called him psycho.
Those moments of honesty are rare, either that or I just fail to recognize them because they lie so much that you never know what to think :/ It's really hard.

Didn't think he was one until after divorce. But I did think he was a NPD. Told him that. He denied it, ridiculed the psychiatric/psychological profession. But he did try to fool the psych test during our court-mandated psych eval. They have an indicator for that, and he did it! That test found strong AS traits, but could not find what strength due to the manipulation of the test. They can be forced to take it, but not truthfully.
