Is he or she a sociopath or psychopath? Think we're only talking about serial killers here? Psychopaths, sociopaths and even narcissists come in every walk of life, every career level, and every socio-economic category.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

I was struggling with the question, "Did my parents love me?" Were they patient? Were they kind? etc. And the answer to each was a resounding, "No." And then I yook a long hard look at myself and questioned whether I was capable of love, and whether I loved them and other people. And ever since then I have been working on love. Love is not a feelling. It's an ability. Some people simply lack the ability to love.
It sounds like such a simple quote. But merely being patient...with ALL people...it incredibly difficult some days.
I think it will help me (to go back to the beginning) to forgive all those N's like I forgave my father.
