today was another fight they becoming more frequent now that i know whats wrong with him he still doesn't believe that ticking all the boxes makes him a sociopath. i want to leave but i cant im dependent on him financially and i don't want to break our family up my two kiddies would never forgive me.
i thought of writing one good memory and one bad memory a day for 30 days would help me realize that if there was more bad than good i would find a way to leave.
i have also written a list of things i think he has and is lying about. he says he loves me but his eyes are cold, grey and empty he knows how to manipulate me i always run back to him. i know his lying but i want to believe so bad that he loves me like i love him. the truth hurts to bad. he will never love me like i love him. he will never tell the truth and he will never change he is a sociopath. what would you do after 11 years two kids and living in a new country with no support. ?

I agree with the philosophy that a child would rather come from a broken home than live in one.

BrokenGirl32, you are not broken. You will recover. He is the one who is broken. You are all the kiddies have, you're the safe, able-to-love parent. One day they'll Know what you did for them.

Plan. Strategize. Start to think in a new way, all of your energy goes to your master plan:
Rescue yourself and the kids.

Save money, hide it away and plan your escape. Find your supporters, they aren't always who you'd expect.

You'll have moments of doubt, but now that you see the truth you can do it. You. Can. Do. It.

If I look retrospectively on my life, it would be better if my mother divorced my sociopathic father. It would have been better to live in a small appartment with little money, than to live in a big house with a father who is constantly terrorizing the family. Money can't fix a broken mind.

Unfortunatelly, my mother is emotionally dependent on her husband. She is extremely submissive, she doesn't want to harm him, so she stays with him.

You say "my two kiddies would never forgive me". But in reality, I would love my mother much more if she had divorced.

I agree with paoq. I grew up with a very abusive personality disordered father. I spent my entire childhood living in fear and focusing on survival rather than normal kid stuff. I'm 35 now and am still dealing with the aftermath of my childhood (constantly attracting personality disordered people who use and abuse me). Throughout my childhood, I fantasized about my parents getting divorced (and begged my mom to). My life could have been so much better if my mom's focus was on protecting her kids instead of on appeasing my father.

Not sure if you are still in the relationship since this original post is almost a year old. I hope that you have left, or at least taken the steps necessary to leave soon. I am in the beginning stages of planning my escape now and I can tell you that I cannot wait! I have not loved him since I realized what he is a few years back. I'm only sad it's taken me this long to finally plan the move. I have a young child too and that's why I thought I should stick it out for a few more years until my child was older, but I'm seeing my husband manipulate him, poke fun of him, put him down, and interrogate him now like he does to me and I can no longer stand by and let that keep happening.
