Im so tired of coming home and being screamed at . Yesterday it went on all night. All i did was walk away while he was talking to me about what our son did to piss him off. I just feel so lost in what to do . Leaving is easier said then done . I try to ingore what he says about me and try to focus on our kids but sometimes it's so hard because I know if I say anything it will only get him mader and make matters worse for me at times it even turns into more then just a screaming match but I dont deserve it . I feel as if Im getting to the point where I am not going to take it anymore and provide my kids with a better life. I just have to get the foot out the door and make that first step
I understand how you feel, even for me with no children in my relationship, there is a strong hold that he has on me, even when he's not upset he will just talk at me non stop. Im afraid if what I am thinking was to come out of my mouth Ill put myself in a dangerous position - but I want to so badly. I emphasise that you know, your brain is telling you not to be there and you know what you should do but the doing is intact the hardest part. I hope I will be able to help you
Thank you very much for reading my post . Things have not gotten better at all. He is yelling every day and if its not me its our oldest son . He keeps telling me he is going to leave and have me do all the responsiblity's for my boys on me but for some reason never does and I keep telling him where the door is. I would only be so luck if he did that . He feels he does everything but only if he would just step back and just look at what it is that i do he would see that he is wrong . He is also telling me I neglect my kids but I do just about everything and enjoy being a mother Im not perfect but I do the best I can . Im so tired of feeling like I have to defend myself and to hold my tongue when he sits there and puts me down as often as he can . I swear sometimes I think he gets off on it. That is one more thing it is so funny how they sit there and put you down but later want to be with you . Are you kidding I dont want you touching me . Thank you for listening to me vent it feels so good . See your helping already
I've been with my abuser for 17 years. Things are sometimes just fine...even for several weeks, but that can change at a moment's notice. It doesn't help that he drinks. Last time he freaked out because I had to go to work early the next day and i got called an "f'n whore" among other things. I urge you to read the book The Verbally Abusive Relationship by Patricia Evans. Best wishes.
