Well, I just found out that my stepson is doing very poorly in school. He is a freshman in high school, 15 years old. I got an e-mail from his Japanese teacher that stated " Josh has made the decision to quit the class and take an F for the course." Here is the thing that I want to scream about - HIS MOTHER AGREED WITH THE DECISION !!!! My husband says " There is nothing we can do. We have tried everything to help him." I am so angry that his biological mother doesn't even care, and made this decision without even consulting us. She is babying him and letting him just give up - I think it is a shame. The boy is lazy to begin with, but this just takes the cake. I am in no position to do anything being the stepmother - only his father can attempt to try and communicate with her and he won't do it. This whole situation is so frustrating ! I am starting to see that I will just have to throw my hands up and let it go. I am so disappointed in both him and his mother. They don't have a clue how important education is today. Not to mention, I love my stepson and want only the best for him. His father says if he drops out, he will no longer be allowed in our home. I am so upset about this whole situation, and there is basically nothing I can do. Even though we have joint custody, she never consults us about anything. The entire thing is JUST NOT RIGHT !!!!
