Vasovagal Syncope...working and coping...
I hope this group is active. I will support anyone who posts here because it is so hard to deal with this. A. Fainting is embarassing. B. It scares people and they call for help and it becomes expensive. C. It is somewhat debilitating to not know what triggers it. I know a little bit of my triggers but not all. Nausea is a trigger and vomitting always makes me pass out, pain is a definite and motion sickness is a usually a definite. I wake up exhausted, miserable and disoriented. The thing that's most frustrating is I like to be on the go, my job is demanding and sometimes I just can't do it. I know almost like a sixth sense when I'm gonna have a bad day. I just hate missing work, having to say no to activities I love like horseback riding and hiking or snowshoeing. I am not on any medicine for this and don't know how to minimize my episodes. I have started taking Pedialyte diluted in my water and I think it's helping but not sure. Overall I have had more episodes in the past 3 months than previously once or twice a year. I'm interested in what others know.
