Vasovagal Syncope Community Group
This Group is for people who faint or blackout when bp drops too low to get oxygen to the brain.
Hello I am 45 years old and I live in Berkshire. I started fainting for no reason at the age of 13 years although I was born with a hole in my heart and narrow valves the doctor didnt put the two together. I was told that it was a teenage girl thing and that I would grow out of it. I have been on the tilt tables had a reveler fited and it was until about 5 years ago I got a family appointment with CRY in London because my footballing son had chest pains that I got a full diagnoses and was at last given beta blockers to help with the fainting. I only see my GP once a year now for a check up I have to manage it myself and get on with life as my doctor tells me. There are lots of questions but none seems to have the answers. I am hoping this group can help me as I dont really know what is normal and what isnt. Thank you for reading this JX
