Medication: TAMSULOSIN

Question: I wonder if anybody has experience of using TAMSULOSIN as a medication to reduce residual urine in bladder due to enlarged prostate? it has been prescribed by a Registrar but I am wary!

My doctor prescribed it for me for over active bladder and enlarged prostate. I have tried it twice for 3 days each time and both times It seemed to give me headaches both times and did not make any difference with my OAB.

Thanks aphagb, I was wary as it was suggested by Registrar not consultant, and appears to clash with Digoxin I take.

Getting a trial box today. They say OK with Digoxin, We shall see!
[Later] Dose taken, no side-effects so far thank goodness,

I discontinued it. It affected my eyesight [I have mild cataract in each] and that is a listed side=effect. However in the short time I used it my urine flow certainly was better. Maybe there is an alternative available? Waiting for my next telephone consultation......These Covid days we can't speak face to face!
