I deal with the embarasment. By coming here. Talkin. To others. In similar situations. Also a couple other messsge boards. I hate talking about it to my husband or friends. I am disabled and require care from various aids and family. Yes

Welcome I have been back in diapers a few yrs due to being a diabetic,lucky not disabled.It still is hard to talk to wife about it.

I'm disabled and need 24/7 care. Thankfully most of the time. I have a female caregiver to help Me. But inevitably There's always times. When My husband has to handle everything. Its emberassing.. And We don't really talk about it much. He just does what needs to Be done.

I try to avoid other people finding out if at all possible. And also by sharing on support groups like this and some others

When I became incontinent about 30yrs ago though it was the end had to return to diapers.The stigma was heavy my wife who is a lot younger helped saying the diapers were ok.I still have trouble with acceptance.

It’s very difficult dealing with being incontinent and dealing with diapers I’m both urinary and bowel incontinent half the time I don’t want to leave my house it’s very embarrassing an degrading having a bowel accidents in public

Finding other things to think about besides what I'm wearing helps.

It helps to talk to people online. But nothing is better than telling people close to you in real life about your issues. You’ll see firsthand how accepting people can actually be. Granted, not all people will be very open minded but most people will not care.
