Comfortable in adult nappies

I had bedwtting problems as a child and occasionaly into my teens. As a child I wore terry nappies and plastic pants at night up to about aged 6 and was put into them again at boarding school when my bedwetting started again aged 10. As a teanager, I tried to hide it and used a towel as a nappy and cut leg holes in plastic bags as plastic pants. I would probably wet only once a week and could wash a towel out in the bath. From 16 I was reliably dry bar the occasional night after one too many beers. Jump forward 15 years and a spinal injury left me wetting the bed every night and over the next years 35 years - and some three spinal operations later - my bladder problems increased to the point where I have no feeling of needing to go and am now wearing 'adult nappies' 24/7...and I could not be more comfortable with it. No drugs, no catheters that caused me regular urinary and kidney infections, just back in nappies and leading a normal and full life safe in the knowledge that I can manage my incontinence. I can generaly go about four hours before needing a change - I use the TENA Slip Maxi Active fit all in one as I have found them to be the most absorbant and reliable. Some days worse than others and I do have the inevitable occasional leaks, e.g. when sleeping on my side. How do other feel about being back in 'nappies'?

Thanks for sharing your journey! I have had overactive bladder for over 30 years. I began to use protection in my late 40s and finally diapers for overnight, I was waking up 3-4 times per night to get up and go to the bathroom because of overactive bladder. Once I made the decision to wear and use my diapers at night I wake up so much more rested. I still wake up if I need to pee, but can use my diaper and go right back to sleep. I have used cloth in the past, but am using Seni Super Plus from Amazon now and very rarely have any leaks. I use a combination of tape on diapers and pullups during the day and that has really removed a lot of stress from my life! I get a lot of support from my wife as well.

It certainly gives me peace of mind and a relaxing sense of security. I too went through the brutal boarding-school years which scared the life out of me as a little kid and teenager. So nappies and rubber pants now spell peace, quiet, and security..

I don't know if comfortable is the word I would use. For Me its a unfortunate necessity. As of being disabled by 2 strokes and years of progressive MS. I have many other medical care needs as well. I'm quadriplegic and have complete loss of bladder and bowel control. After years of catheters cathing UTIs etc As well as bowel programs that I was eventually no longer able to maintain. the adult briefs (diapers) have become a necessity for My care.

I was a chronic every-night bed-wetter throughout my childhood. I finally dried up (mostly) at about the age of 20. When I turned 40, the bed-wetting slowly returned until I was eventually wetting every night. I am now in my 60's, and am also having regular day-time wetting issues. I am now back to wearing diapers 24/7. I will wear disposable diapers when out and about, and use cloth diapers with plastic pants when at home. When sleeping, I am always wearing a double or triple diaper as I wet multiple times and with heavy volume at night. At this point in my life, I am comfortable being back in diapers. I love the security I have from knowing that I am protected if I wet my pants or my bed.

I too have regular wetting problems,At night and at home I wear cloth diapers and rubber pants,when I am out and about,Iwear disposible diapers with rubberpants this helps me to cope with the problem.

The OP has a point, I've gotten over the psychological hurdle and don't think about it. I'm fortunate to lead a super normal life otherwise,
I'm completely comfortable, I don't triple diaper or anything, just change 4 or 5 times a day and never leak really.
I know there's plenty who are less fortunate like Brandie and they have my respect. It could be any one of us.
