Not sure where to turn and I ended up here. I'm almost 48 years old, with my husband about 6 years, married less than 2 years. I have a 16 year old daughter that he adopted a year ago. We live like roommates, no intimacy, sleep in separate rooms, no "team work" at all.  He says he loves me and would do anything for me, but those are just words....his actions say the otherwise. I don't love him and don't know if this relationship is worth fighting for, or if it's time to just walk away??

I'm in a situation right now where I am happiest when my husband leaves me to myself. In your case, you at least admitted there's no love there and there is a teenager. His actions shows he has tapped out of this. I'm not in the business of telling folks to divorce but I must ask..what is the alternative? I have to take my own advice too on this.

23 years I’ve lived like this and for 19 have wanted to leave. I’m sorry but I would say there is zero chance of changing..ask for change & if no change get out..don’t wait till you’re me @65 and regretting I didn’t leave years ago...

My spouse says he "cares"... he says that while laying down on his stomach, giving me his back, while in bed. I wish I never got married, and I wish I never continued with this relationship after being separated for 2 and a half years. I have never been so unhappy in my life. I am miserable. I am so ready to feel like I matter to someone, and to be happy and loved. This guy has no desire or interest in my wellbeing or to make an effort with me moving this relationship anywhere, really.
