fitish419. I also got marriage to my husband young and its been about 15 years, all though he dont suffer from OCD. He does have a hard time showing that he love me. I love my husband and I am a person that love to kiss and be held, but out of 15 years I can count on one hand how many times he has kissed or held me. He thinks sex is the fix all, granted I love having sex with him, but because of the way I have been feeling I have not been in to it as much as I should. I have tried to tell him how I feel and he always tell me if I give him more sex he would kiss and hold me more, but it always end up with him getting what he wants. Truth please am I reading to much into this should I just let it go.

My husband is bipolar and i completely understand the feeling of how tiring it can be when you are married to someone with mental issues. It is an every day battle to keep yourself happy. It seems like most days are spent worrying about them. You can't put that on them or it just brings them down along with you.

fitish419 I hear you on the mental illness thing. My wife has BPD and it's been a generally bad experience. Married 3 years now. I know everyone always says "oh well why did you get married then" but it's pretty easy to get trapped and feel cajoled into it, under duress or obligation...

Do you have kids with him? Are you able to have any time to yourself while you consider your options?

I wish the same thing... if I could go back in time, I would tell my 19 year old version of me to NEVER LEAVE the safety of my grandparents' home, my childhood home, and to continue studying to become a doctor !!! Biggest mistake of my life was to get married at 19 and leave everything behind for a man who is not compatible with me or my culture. I like to be held, caressed, complemented, liked, loved. cared for. This guy does not know the meaning of romance. Sex is terrible, I fake it all the time, I hate having sex with him, I make faces, I try to push him away, I do everything to let him know I am not into it and for him to get off of me. He doesn't take a hint. After 17 years, I've learned to just deal with it and get mine while I can, might as well, right?

So for anyone who might actually see this I just wanted you all to know that as of last month I am officially divorced!!! I had a huge party last weekend. Finally I can say I am happy!!

Hello I am new here my whole world has changed in the last two years. My mother that lived with us for 20 years went to the nursing home. They now allow visits after over a year that helps. I have been married for 31 years last month We married in our 20's the early years was good we started a business that became all that we did there was not much time for anything else we had the chance to sell it a year and a half ago. today I regret that I ever met him. I feel like I'm about to have a mental break down I feel that I am no longer wanted or needed. He went with the business to train the new owners It is sad to see the decline in the business but more for love lost I know I am greaving over what I thought our life would be not what it has become Don't know where to start at making a new life without him in it
