I'm new to this board and hoping it is still active because it is needed.
I'm not saying it's easier to know when someone is going to pass but it is different than coming home and finding them gone without any warning at all. I left for work early one morning in August of 2015. I kissed my wife god bye and left as she went to bed. She had shown no signs of being sick or feeling bad the night before or that morning. I returned home about five hours later and she was in bed. I thought she was sleeping but when I tried to wake her I knew something wasn't right. I could tell she was gone. It was the first time I had ever felt true shock and it was bad. The report said it was related to her medication. she had been taking it for several years and it had done damage to her heart. There was no warning. The world we had built together was completely gone in a moment. The future is blank right now, just waiting but not sure on what yet. Everyday I just go thru the motions of getting up going to work and coming home to an empty space. There are good days and bad days and days where the grief is so bad I wish it was over but I keep going because she would want me to. I hope that everyone here is doing O.K. and trying to work thru this the best way that works for them. For me a lot of praying and leaning on my faith in the Father. Take care.
Peace, Tim
I am so sorry for your loss. It is horrible to not be able to say goodbye. I lost my husband in a horrible accident. I hate that you are alone. You need someone to talk to.
Thank you for sharing. The world has a funny way of showing you how small it is when you feel it's too large and overwhelming. I have been having a rough few days this past week. I have a like story. I kissed my wife good bye on June 14, 2015, left my sleeping kids in their beds to go to work, only to get a call 6 hours later that she was still in bed, and not responding. Medical also founded that it was from a complication we couldn't have seen caused by a medicine she was on. Two years next week for us, and we (speaking for me and my two girls -6 and 3 now) we are living on, for her I ah just have been troubled figuring where to go sometimes. She was always the one to tip my scale in the right direction. I hope you've found some peace too.
Thanks Mike, I don't know if it's any easier knowing or expectantly. Either way they are transitioned into their new spiritual life. The pain is the same both ways. And we miss them.
Peace, Tim
My husband just died on Nov. 21st and I awoke to find him in distress. I tried to get him help but they couldn’t save him. I feel so lost and devastated. I can’t think of anything but him.
Thanks for sharing. Lost my husband in March this year. No warning. We were soul mates and he was the husband of my youth...married 45 years, God called him and he was only 66. It wouldn't be normal if you didn't have the pain you are experiencing, and it's not easy, no easy answers. Stay close to God, He will provide your all your needs. Be thankful for the beautiful memories you shared, so many never get that opportunity. Be kind to yourself in the little things, the things that matter in life, God, your children, family and lifelong friends who care. Be yourself, don't hide your pain, others know that anyway. Focus on your blessings and name them. It helps. Hugs, & prayers, Jax10
It's been almost three years now. And it has been a journey thru some of the darkest days I have ever been thru. But thru my faith in God and His always being with me, I am moving forward again. There are still bad days and good days, but more good days. I can tell all that it does get better. You have to keep moving forward. But it will get better.
