Twelve Steps of Forgiveness by Paul Ferrini Community Group
The Twelve Steps of Forgiveness offers us a process for unlearning our ego-based search for perfection and discovering the inner beauty, guidance, and grace that already exist in our lives. It enables us to honor others and establish healthy boundaries that prevent manipulation and co-dependency, so that we can discover the place of peace within. It is a book you will...
I often find myself back at step 1of Coda for various reasons.(step one : we are powerless over others and life has become unmanageable) It is a process. I don't like feeling anger, it leaves me with a horrible feeling in my 'gut'. I have, ever so slowly, been managing to accept more of the 'stuffed' anger, and greiving. Not saying it is easy. I have found that I am not afraid of the anger anymore, I can get angry w/o feeling rage and worse yet, feeling afraid of the feeling. Another thing I have noticed is that I am not so afraid of other's anger. Like I said, it is a process and we make the best progress we can. By 'accepting my feelings around anger I am finding I feel more peaceful. I can get angry about something and put it in proper perspective and deal with it...I find I don't obsess about it..the anger, or the feelings anymore. I also at times try to remind myself that I really don't know what is in my best interest at those times. So, yes, feel the feeling and accept it. Seems to be working for me at least.
I think we all 'judge' ourselves the hardest...I can at times be very critical of myself. This is something I am working on and trying to be more gentle with self...less judging.
