TTC after stillbirth Community Group
A group for those who have suffered a stillbirth and are considering ttc or actively ttc again. We know the emotional challenges of trying again and who better to support us than others who have been through what we have been through.
I finally got a positive OPK today. I can't believe how excited I am over a little strip with two dark lines on it, but I am! Last two cycles I never got a positive, I was using the digital ones with the smiley face but never got one. The first cycle I was testing once a day, the second cycle I tested twice a day, then I read other posts from some of you ladies about how you had to test even more frequently so I ordered 40 cheapie OPK's online and have been testing 5 times a day. This morning it was negative and later this evening two positives even though I drank alot of water today.
Thank you ladies for the advice on testing more frequently. Just knowing that I am ovulating made me very happy. Oh, I have also been using the FerileFocus saliva thingy and it's working so far.
How much do you guys think we should BD? For how many days? Baby dust to all you wonderful ladies!

Great news! I finally got my smiley face this morning! I have been stressing out so much thinking that maybe I'm not even ovulating because I am 41 and things just don't quite work as well anymore. I tried the OPK with the 2 lines last cycle and could never quite figure out if it was positive or not, so I decided to splurge and try the digital ones. Good luck to you! Baby dust to all!!!!

My doc suggested BDing every other day beginning the day of the positive opk & continuing that until AF arrives or getting a positive.

Myangelgabe: Glad you got a smiley, those didn't work for me probably because I was only testing once or twice daily. You're right about figuring out the line thing but this time they were very dark. I'm praying for us that this is our month. Looks like we'll be in the 2ww together, hope we don't go crazy..hee..hee

The month I got my positive OPK & BFP - we had (by good luck) BD'd the night before the positive, then the afternoon after & I think 2 nights in a row after that. Then went to an every other day for the following week. Good luck!!

I was doing the every other day thing for 2 months with no luck. The month I got pregnant we BD'd every day for 3 days starting with my 1st positive OPK then skipped a day and BD'd one more time. It worked for us...good luck.

WIth the positive OPK and BFP we were lucky enough to have BD every day 3 days before the positive and then we BD the day of the positive and for 2 days after... it was a busy week! lol good luck!

oh and don't worry i was ECSTATIC about my positive OPK! It had been so long since my pee made anything cool happen! haha
