OT: My hair is falling out!

My hair is falling out like mad, for a few weeks now. I lose clumps everyday. I wonder if its due to the stress of losing my baby, post partum hair loss, or what. I've been taking my prenatal vitamins and still I lose tons of hair everyday. Did anyone have this happen to them?

YES! I am in the same boat! I thought maybe even it was becuase it was changing from summer to fall and maybe the weather had something to do with it! Every time I shower I have to clean the drain so there's not a gross glob of hair on top of it. It's really annoying! But you're certainly not alone :)

Yeah, me too. It's right in the front on the sides so I just brush it all back instead of have a part on either side like I normally do. I just bought some stuff at Whole Foods yesterday so I can try to wear it natural without having to straighten it every time I wash it. I figure the less I touch it the less will come out. Combs and brushes have not been my friends.

I too never stopped my vitamins and this just started about 3 weeks ago. My guess is that it's a combination of postpartum and stress.

It is a post-natal issue it has happened to me around the 3-4mths post mark with every pregnancy (I've had 5 pregnancies). It does go away but it has to do with the fact that you stop losing hair at a certain point in pregnancy & then everything that should have fallen out on an average day, falls out all at once. There really isn't anything to do to fix it, but it is temporary & it grows back.
I know it's not fun.
