Hi Ladies. I'm new to this group, in fact just found it. Here's my story. I'm 29 and we decided to start actively trying in March. We got pregnant right away. I was 11 weeks pregnant and had some slight bleeding. I went to the doctor and they did an ultrasound and found no heartbeat and found that the fetus had stopped growing at 8 weeks. I was so upset. I opted for a D & C and had one three days later. Four days after the D & C, I ended up with a horrible infection. They decided to do a second D & C. After both D & Cs I had very little bleeding and it went away after two days. It's been 18 days since the first D & C. I feel like I'm getting my period. I feel bloated, craving chocolate and even had a headache yesterday (usually get one the day before my period). I've always been a 28 day cycle person, but could I be getting my period early? Has this happened to anyone? They said you could get your period two to six weeks following the D & C, so I guess it's possible. I'd be happy to get my period so we can start trying again ASAP, but do you think it's just in my head? Anyone else? Thanks.

Could be a period or maybe body going though a stage. My D and C I bled first day went to yelllowish( healing color like when you get a scrape) and than bled off and on again for 2 weeks. I hope you had your period. and that you are getting to plan when you start again. Thinking positive thoughts for you.

yes, it's possible, and it's likely. I miscarried in January this year, and my body is not the same since! My periods are not the same. For me the first period came after 4 weeks, but every one since has been early. And the pain and cramping are different-- more cramps, they come at different times in the day, they start a few days before the bleeding does--and my breasts started to feel very sore about a week before my periods came on (just to add insult to injury). All this is trying to say, don't expect your body to be the same. It's just trying to get back to a new normal. The first period is definitely weird, but I found that all the other ones afterwards are weird too. It's like my body knows and keeps reminding me that my heart isn't the same after this. good luck!
