I know this is a cheerful topic, but I wanted to put in a word to anyone who has an interest in the holocaust about the documentary "Shoah." I've been getting it from Netflix (I think it is 4 or 5 discs, about 2 hours each disc). No terrible photos, just interviews with survivors, townspeople, a couple of soldiers who worked in the camps. The things people say -- fascinating, and it is done so well. Most of it is subtitled, some is in English. Very moving, very thought-provoking. The guy who made the series is a Frenchman who worked in the French resistance, and he wanted to get these stories recorded before the people were all gone. It's really good.
