I finished reading the Bible on Sunday....I started over with Genesis yesterday and finished it today! I became so engrossed in it this time!!!! Thank GOD! I even could pause at the start of a chapter and recall what will follow next!!! Hallelujah!
Now...
Abram (or Abraham) was with Sarah.....and his son Issac was with Rebekah.
During different times....as they came upon crowds....each of the men told their respective female counterparts to "act as if they are his sister"...indicating that the crowd would kill them if they knew it was their wives...
Am I reading wrong? Or were men feeling insecure about themselves even back then?

They were men!!! She was a attractive woman. He worried other men would desire her so much they would plot to kill him if they knew she was his wife.
Think about it! God doesn't always chose the "perfect". He choses humans. Cain was so jealous of his brother, he killed him. David fell in love with someone else's wife, and had him killed so he could take her as wife. Moses had a speech impediment, probably stuttering!! Jonah ran as hard as he could away from God.
I could go on and on, but, you get my point, I'm sure!!!
Insecurity is NOT new!!!!
