Oh, Pam, I'm sorry this has happened. In a perfect world, she'd get a pregnancy test and it would NOT be your son's child! Yes she comes from a troubled home which is probably why she latched herself onto your son in the first place. He's vulnerable, pliable, and she can easily prey on him/manipulate the situation to her advantage. Gosh, I never would have said those things 5 years ago -- sometimes it scares me how jaded I've become.
Yes, the drama, the worrying, it's all exhausting. Thank God your son has you in his life. I'm sure he appreciates you, but he doesn't know the half of what you do for him. Which is as it should be, but *we* here in DS know.
Take care, keep us posted, and don't be afraid to reach out when you need to.
Hugs,
HayMom
Haymom.....I do think after all that we have been thru with the injuries, arrests and addiction we are very jaded. There is no way around it. We have seen the inadequacies that prevail in the judicial system and medical fields. It is mind blowing how horrible and inefficient they both are. I used to trust...I no longer do. Heck ....I dont even trust myself some days ! lol
have a great day !
hugs..pam
Meanwhile, you as a mother are still putting your son's desires first. I hope you realize how amazing you are! You know that his girlfriend is a bottom feeder, yet you're willing to suggest church and counseling, and you'll even take them. Your son is soooooooo lucky!
I hope they take you up on your suggestion and offer to help!
Hugs,
HayMom
Yeah.....thats my plan ! That is until I chicken out ! lol
I am still finding it hard to talk with this girl. That is making things weird for me. I will say she acts like she is very grateful for what I have done for her. I hope it is not a ruse to keep me on a string.
hugs...pam
It so much easier to give advise when it's something you aren't facing yourself isn't it? I hope they take you up on the counseling!
I feel sorry for this girl, how sad that she cant trust any one but it doesnt excuse what chaos she is causing.
Get them the help you can, and hang on for a bumpy ride(hope that bottle of wine is a big one)
love you dear

And as for being a bottom feeder? Heck, I hear catfish aren't all that bad, so maybe she'll end up being okay, too. Kudos to you for giving her a chance!
Hugs,
HayMom
