Son had to go to a meeting with a caseworker for this program that california has called CalWorks. It is required if you are on cash aid and food stamps. He can get exempted from program but local doctor has not turned in paper work. The caseworker is a b*tch.....she finally gave him some new papers that I will fax to the UC Davis doctor. Hopefully that doctor will fill those out. He is suppose to go for one month and come dressed like he going to a job. They may place him somewhere that day. Sounds good in theory but as you all know our tbi peeps are not really very compliant for many reasons. What if son has one of his bad headaches?? Well the caseworker says he has to make a choice, show up or not get any cash aid help. What if he has a doctor appointment ? Well he will have to make a choice also........ I thought that maybe he was over reacting a bit but I talked to her and man she needs to find another job. He says to me that he looks fine and I dont see any problems.......I said how could you he does not have a pop top head and you cant not see the brain damage. She still was a non-believer, I am not sure what to do. I may try calling and telling her supervisor that she has a horrible attitude. Right now I am a bit pissed off. If I can get the neuro doctor to sign papers asap then I wont bother with her. I dont need the added stress and confrontation. Why is everything so damn hard. Why cant people see and listen when you say he is not right ?
Funny thing tho...she told him he scored very high on his tests that he took. He told her he just guessed on over 80% of them. She should have seen that everything he answered was "B". lol
