This is a private group by invitation only. It is a group for those who have a loved one with a brain injury. This group was not founded by me but I will serve as the founder temporarily as one of the first members.
So monday my son got all his equipment to start his house arrest. You would have thought that whole process would have been easy, but crap it took a act of god to be approved for that one. The probation/court/sheriffs all thought a kid with a TBI would be better served going to jail for 30 days 5 hours away from home. And this was just for not finishing all his work days??!!! I mean crap he is not a axe murderer or did any crime against another person.
So it happens that the young guy working at probation went to school with my son (he is older than son). They remembered each other. When I explained about his TBI and everything needed to go thru me otherwise son would probably not remember the guy says well he remembered me? I had to explain how TBI worked, it mostly for my son all short term memory issues. I also explained all the personality changes, cognitive issues, migraines and seizures. He says but he looks good ? What a dumbass! And these are the kind of people that work for us! THey need to get a clue....not everyone is a dirtbag. Quit stereotyping people . Some out there have mental health issues....gee they look good too and others have a more organic problem....TBI. I guess I am just amazed at how stupid people really are.
Dont know why today I am feeling so grumpy and people are pissing me off, but there it is ! Also waiting for sons girlfriend to go into labor. Her due date was yesterday. That is a whole other topic of discussion ! lol

I once thought about majoring in criminal justice and becoming a parole or probation officer but decided against it because i thought I would be too soft and the world needs more bleeding heart social workers, right?
I did take quite a few courses in parole and probation and I never heard a thing about physical causes like TBI. It is definitely a gaping hole there. I dont blame you for being grumpy.
