The Tea Room Community Group
This is a private group by invitation only. It is a group for those who have a loved one with a brain injury. This group was not founded by me but I will serve as the founder temporarily as one of the first members.
I am leaving a note to say this is a very hard day, its been a hard few days.
Family Day when families are all celebrating thier togetherness we are reminded of the events that had happened 5 years ago, the 3 am call, the vigil at the side of mt son waiting for the helicopter to come at 6 am to whisk him away to London health sciences Center and the long ride down praying that he would be alive when we got therem the nights oon not sleeping sitting at his bed side, then having to go home and leave him nearly 3 hours away and helpless.
I am so thankful he is with us, living a fairly independant life
I miss my old son the one who was as quick on his feet as he was with his wit.
I cannot forget this day, how can I with each year that passes Family Day comes.
Bent and twisted my spirit is not broken, I endure
I must for I am MOM

I do agree with you though... I miss SOME of the OLD... my new life is calmer and has a few less people... sad to say, but mainly family.... our friends have also drifted and gone on about their busy lives also, sometimes I feel so alone... I still curse the day it happened and I guess I always will...
