The Tea Room Community Group
This is a private group by invitation only. It is a group for those who have a loved one with a brain injury. This group was not founded by me but I will serve as the founder temporarily as one of the first members.
Life continues that is.
Things in my world look so different than they did 3 years ago and I never would have imagined them settling out the way they have.
First, I have gotten out of my horrible apartment and am in a nice house. I have kidlet with me 1/2 time and am seeing a wonderful man. I have decided that I no longer want to be a self-employed single mom who works 60+ hours a week and am still broke so I have decided to sell/close my business. I have a couple of things pending and hope to have it wrapped up one way or the other by September. Keeping the business pulled my through the divorce but I don't need it any more.
DH has gotten remarried and seems to be as happy as he'll ever be. He got the renos done on our house, has a projection TV, a new truck and someone cooking his meals who seems to dote on him. These were all things he hated me for not being able to provide him.
His bride is an interesting sort and I get along with her for the most part. She is good to kidlet and if it wasn't for her, kidlet wouldn't be able to be with his dad. I would like him more than 1/2 time and i think it would be better for him but I bite my tongue and let his counselor help him tell us what he needs to say.
Life hasn't been easy since the divorce but it has been better and I can truly say that I am happy. My personal growth has amazed me and I like who I am becoming. It turns out that I'm not a raging bitch with a control issue :)
I better get running. My handsome man has planned a special surprise weekend for me once I'm done work (which is in about 10 minutes) and it could be anything from fishing and back country camping to an evening in the city to catching up on my yard work LOL.

Things are still strained here... On my part... tim however seems to be ok with going to bed at 6pm and doing NOTHING..... EVER!!! All is fine in his world... Funny how he can not see what is right in front of his face... So SAD!!!!
I have started just getting up and going on my weeks off..... Whether it be a friends house or just for a drive.... I can't stand just sitting on the couch any longer watching him sleep or watch the FOX POLITICAL NEWS STATION.... Which totally drives me BAT-SHIT CRAZY!!!!
