me and my hubby decided to keep the baby like u said it is a blessing from god but i havent slept all night worrying about taking antidep and benzo while i am pregnant so i am going today to the doctor and i did a lot of research i found out it is better to be on med and to be depressed or having anxiety while preg it is worse for the baby .please any input would help me or even if u know someone that went through what i am facing.

Sorry I don't have any knowledge of these treatments during pregnancy, but I just wanted to wish you well with everything. Try not to worry and get some sleep! As they say, you won't get any when the baby arrives LOL.

Keep the dose low of Lexapro and stay off the xanax as you are and things will be fine if the Doctors say so? Congrats on your new baby..... ;-)))))))) Your going to be a MOM again, wow! How exciting!`

Congratulations mraoun! (((HUGS))) Some meds are safer than others during pregnancy, as I'm sure you know...but yes, as I have been told also, it is not a good thing for a woman who is pregnant to be off meds completely if she is very depressed, anxious, is bipolar, etc. The mother's health always affects the baby and your health is very important -- even if it means you have to do things that other pregnant women might not. Good luck sweetie!

Mraoun I'm so happy you see the new life growing inside of you as a gift from God. Children are wonderful blessings and bring so much happiness. Please let us know what your dr says after you visit. I'm sure the info might help someone else. Send you big hugs of joy, happiness, & peace.

I am so happy for you and hubby! I have read on DS where women are pregnant and still on meds, but cannot recall what they were on. Best to talk to the doc about it all. I agree with mom2michelle...the mothers health affects the baby's health!

Wonderful news about your baby, it really is a gift from God and the baby will bring you and your husband lots of joyous moments.
As the others have suggested, it would be wise to check meds out with your doc.
Let us know what the doc says.

congratulations, this is wonderful news, i know it can be difficult when his takes us by surprise but remember one day at a time and what a wonderful gift you will have in nine monhs time

keep in regular touch with your doctor and your meds will be controlled to suit your needs
