for mother's day?
Would love to hear what everyone did.
Mine was not going to be very happy, but then my Step-son came over and just made my day! This kid and I are so much alike people really can't believe he is not mine. We both have the same views on life, have anxiety and social anxiety issues, shy lol ...we are a lot alike:)
So he comes over and we have a nice long talk and then last night he gave me the nicest card ever telling me how much he loves me and how much a mean to him and that I'm as much his mom as his real mom. It really meant a lot to me!!! He's a great kid and I am so blessed to call him one of my kids. I always have loved him as much as my own...we are pretty close:) He is just such a blessing to me.
So pls share your story or just tell us what you did.:)

So...I did my Mom's hair mid morning, had a lovely visit over lunch with Alex and then my Sister and I went to Mom's to give her a gift from the two of us. While I was here, my oldest Son called my Mother (before me...grrrrr) but saved his butt because he was actually calling to tell us that if we brought our cars to their house, they would wash them!
I haven't seen or heard from my middle Son...just as well. He was a real shit to me last evening. I'm guessing that he and his girlfriend will try to stop in before long, but my door is locked and I'm staying upstairs. He owes me big apology...and not just because his gf makes him! She's a love and unfortunately, she saw the not so nice side of my Son. He has turned into his Father. He really broke my heart and I'm not ready to see him, yet.
I got off schedule with pain meds because I was out too long and I'm really feeling it. So...I'm in my jammies and thinkin about flopping on my bed and snuggling with my dogs. That works for me!

Dixie- so glad you had a great time with your stepson. Great memories.
Cherry- glad you had a great time with your one son. Hope your other son straightens out soon. Sometimes it takes a good girlfriend to fix some of these "stupid" streaks that men go through. This is the first Mother's day that I have shared with my daughter in over 8 years, but we made it the day before instead of today. Very hard once you build up those walls to take them down.. Praying that you and your son work things out soon.
