To be honest i haven't given it much thought, i heard they were thinking about doing that in schools and i felt that it wouldnt work because it would cause even more bullying than there already is.

As for going to public toilets and there being bathrooms for men, bathrooms for women and a bathroom for a transgender i'm not sure i see the point?
What i mean is supposing a man who is certain he should have been a woman and is going through all the necessary treatments and is living a life as a woman, why wouldnt they want to use a womans toilet? Once they have had the operation they will use the womens toilet anyway, wont they?
I'm not bothered but i'm probably in the minority.
I can see it would be more difficult if your born a woman and are changing to a man, you cant walk into a mens bathroom and use a urinal unless youve had the operation, so you would always have to go into the private cubical.

If we let transgender men walk into the woman's bathroom how do we know they are truly transgender. Any man could walk in and claim to be transgender. A rapist, pedifile, anyone. Will they now add urinals to the walls for these transgender men? And if they do how do I explain this to my 4 year old granddaughter?
I for one will not be using a restroom that allows transgender men. It would terrify me and I am sure I am not the only one who would be afraid or nervous or just uncomfortable with a man in the same restroom with them.

that would be weird.. a urinal on the wall in a women's bathroom! I honestly dont think a pre op man all dressed up as woman and living his life as woman would want to use a urinal, he'd already hate the fact that he'd been born with a penis and to go to the toilet in that way would go against everything he feels. The whole point is that he feels like woman and should have been born a woman and wants to go the toilet as a woman.

I wonder how men feel about a pre op man going in to use their bathroom?
if this now a man walked into a mens bathroom you wouildnt know this man was once a woman..

Empathy, I think that is the age old question of being gay. Is it nurture or nature?? I so believe in nature as that how they were born. I do not believe they would care to be changed. Maybe some gay people might want to hide it for family reason's but that is so sad.

All targets have a family restroom. I use that with my grandchildren. I believe we already have transgender in our public restrooms and have for years. As far as the undecided that dress as women I say no and I don't want them in a public restroom with my granddaughters. There are transvestites and I have to ask do they believe that is where they belong? True trans genders are comfortable and have been through therapy and see themselves as female.

Don't know why it all has come up. I feel men would be uncomfortable to have a woman in there bathroom because said woman identified as male but still looked female.

Best way to handle it is to have more family restrooms. I am seeing more and more, airports,malls, inside big shops. I like this.
