We don't have thanks giving, i hope and wish you all a happy thanks giving : )

dixie, that just brought back memories of my grandmother. she made some of the best fudge of all kinds.

i guess i'm one of the few americans not doing a thing for thanksgiving. i miss my friends' potluck dinners. i was in charge of the mashed potatoes and gravy, sometimes the dressing.

i wish all safe travels and a very happy thanksgiving!

Had ours last month, but love to read about others. Big or small with a special made or bought dinner with others or just for yourself with candlelight. Celebrate your gift of life and each blessing you have.

We will be two with candlelight. My dish is cranberry relish. Fresh cranberries,two oranges and 3/4 cup of walnuts put in food processor and ground. You leave the skin on the oranges. After grinding 1 1/4 cup of sugar is added. It chills overnight and is always good with our turkey breast, dressing, and mashed potatoes. I may do yams this year.

This year, we are staying home and having a small simple meal here.

I also miss Thanksgiving with friends. I was always in charge of the homemade soup and one dessert or a bottle of wine.

For years I did the big Thanksgiving dinner at my house. I loved it when the boys were young and everyone came to us. I've done several in my current home, but the past couple years, we've gathered at my Aunt's house because she has a big space to hold everyone.

I wanted to have it at my house this year, but my Mother told me I could never handle it...what if I had a bad day? Well...I haven't had a good day since I can remember, but I work!!!

My Aunt is an old, spoiled brat and even though she doesn't have to do much except provide a location, she gets all whiney and bitchy. Can you tell I'm not looking forward to tomorrow?

I guess I'm just tired from work and hurting like crazy so nothing would sound appealing, right now. But I'll get up, make the creamed onions and possibly some pumpkin bread and pretend it's all good. I should remember that I'm fortunate to still have my parents and even the snarky Aunt. My boys will be there and that's the most important part for me.

I hope everyone finds joy in their day!

i hope you all enjoy your thanksgiving weakend and i have had ours las month and was very thankfull for all my family my husband had duck home alone is was very wounderfull we did just what er wanted and we did it all together ................so thankfull for him .................thankfull for all of you ...............god bless

today did not do much after the migrain fo the last cupple of days i was a little unsteady on my feet but wanted to get out of the house so we went to towen and got some gerocries and breakfast canadian tire snow shovelvls............i had enough so he went in to one more store and we came home ..............migraining now going to take my maxalt soon than couch dutie.................my husband made supper ofcorse i couldent eat it ............i did enjoy the day with him tomorow he goes back to the bush and i intend to do better this time if i find i am not doing well i am going to go to one of my childrens for the weakend ..................have a great day tomorow ....................god bless

Well, my Wednesday agenda was a bit of a bust. I hate it when things go different than I plan them to do.

I was so wishing that I could have shopped on Tuesday and had a rest day before cooking. Sorry to keep bringing up the ribs.......but there was no shopping for me on Tuesday as no sleep the night before and was very sad to find that the ribs had not healed on their own overnight. :-) I just could not find a comfortable spot. And when I finally did..........I couldn't move out of it all night......and I mean all night. I was wide awake and couldn't move.

My plan was to visit with Mom, go to Kohl's for a bit of shopping (as I had coupon's for if you buy $30.00 you had $10.00 off) then get the grocery shopping for Turkey Day.

I stayed to late at my brother's house where Mom is staying because he asked me to stay until he got back from running an errand.............If I had left five minutes earlier I would have missed him. Then my SIL arrived with my nephew and a friend. So of course I stayed.

I missed my shopping day at Kohl's and arrived at the grocery when it was so crowded. I know I must be rambling..........but the thing I really was so upset about is that one of my "assigned" dishes was the squash casserole..........and they were out of squash!!!!!!!

Oh and I think I failed to mention that my Mom INSISTED that she wrap my ribs with this stickable gauze? I felt like I was in a truss. I couldn't say no.....I had to drive 30 minutes with that wrapped around me. :-) It felt ok for a bit, while I was there, but the whole time I was shopping I couldn't breathe!
